Hell

A word associated with darkness pain and suffering

People say it’s a far away place

A place within the chasm of death

But this a lie a lie told as to keep hopes

But this world is hell our souls wounded and burnt by experience

Life and living is finding a reason to burn

In life we are taught to survive to thrive to harden ourselves

The people on top the rich the ones with power

They pile bodies under them by the hour

All so they can escape the raging fire

Yet do not hate them for those people at the bottom we learn to numb ourselves

Pity those runners at the top they feed the fire and laugh yet in their fear

One thing is forgotten

A fed fire has more power and eventually it will catch them too only stronger
